Mazda RX-8 — the car of manufacture of the Japanese company Mazda, the updated variant of model RX-7. For the first time its prototype (then still carrying name RX-Evolve) has been shown in Detroit in 2000 year. Then, about a year later, in Tokyo already trial version with роторным engine Renesis was shown. At small volume of the engine the car is allocated by sports character that accordingly affects the fuel expense.

The standard variant of the engine gives out 192 h.p. (220 Н·м) and is combined with 5-step МКП or 4 step АКП, top version Hi Power (RX-8 HP), allocated with more difficult system of an admission, — 231 л.с (211 Н·м) is combined with 6-step МКП. In some markets for surcharge it is offered 6-step АКП with a manual gear change.
